Firefighting:  The Town and County of Stettler have a volunteer fire department.  The membership is down as the optimum number of firefighters on the roster is 32 and currently it is at 24. The fleet consists of 6 fire trucks and 1 rescue truck.

Byemoor, Big Valley and Donalda each have their own volunteer fire department.

Aquatics Centre: Interested in becoming a Leader?

This program is geared towards teens(12yrs and up) interested in becoming or working towards becoming a life guard or becoming a leader.

L.I.T. will receive points based on hours worked to use towards swimming lessons, advanced aquatics etc.

Interested persons must fill out an application at the Parks and Leisure Office.

Heartland Youth Centre is looking for Board Members.


Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for people to facilitate Rainbows programs in the Stettler Elementary School, as well, In School Mentors for one hour per week, and always, Big Brothers or Big Sisters to spend time with the many youth on our waiting list.


Stettler Regional Child Care Society is looking for Board Members.

Heartland Beautification Committee is hoping you can make a meeting at the SRC on the first Thursday of the month at 12 noon. We could use ideas and volunteers.     Facebook Page.
Stettler Hospital and Care Centre along with Stettler Home Care are actively seeking volunteers for a multitude of roles.  If you enjoy visiting and socializing, making a difference in someones life or even if you would like to brush up on  your clerical skills, we have a position that would suit your needs.  Many of our opportunities can be scheduled when you have free time, and others are specified times if you like routine.  All of our opportunities will fulfill in ways you may not be aware of, helping someone is truly rewarding.

Stettler Parent Link Centre is looking for volunteers. The Parent Link Centre, run by McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association provides families with hands-on modeling of appropriate parenting behavior, through various activities and programming. In addition to parent education and early-childhood development, coordinators are able to provide referrals to other community programs to ensure parents are getting what they need to be successful. Our Volunteers would aid in organizing specific projects, toy cleaning, facility maintenance, and other general duties. We require each volunteer to have references, an up to date criminal record, and an intervention check done, as we work closely with children.        (403) 742-3600.
